Andre qualified as a Physiotherapist in 2003 from the University of Otago, New Zealand. Since that time, he has spent 19 years working in both the NHS and private practice. Andre has worked as an Orthopaedic and Neuro-rehabilitation clinical specialist at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital (Stanmore) since 2004. He has gained a vast amount of experience in the fields of rheumatology, sports medicine, and orthopaedic rehabilitation.
Andre was the former head of the education committee for the European Society of Shoulder and Elbow Rehabilitation, which represents physiotherapists from 20 countries, with collaborative links with several major International
Physiotherapy Confederations. He acts as a peer reviewer for the UK based journal 'Shoulder and Elbow’ and has a number of peer reviewed publications on total shoulder arthroplasty and sterno-clavicular joint instability.
Andre is currently a guest lecturer at the University College of London; Sport Medicine Master’s programme. His biggest professional accomplishment was to establish the link between posterior shoulder instability and scapula dyskinesia, in 2010. This is now globally accepted as a major component of shoulder instability assessment.
